Learn this timeless craft with a trade qualified, award winning blacksmith of 30 years experience. You will learn all the basics to get you underway and make pieces that will last a life time.

In this one day class we will cover:

  • Tools and the forge

  • Pointing/Drawing out

  • Hot cutting & splitting

  • Twisting

  • Scrolling

  • Drifting

 

During the class we will make 4 items:

  • Fire Poker

  • Two S Hooks

  • Wall Bracket

This class will give the students experience in working with hot metal and the forge.  Different tools and methods of shaping and forging will be used to create these pieces.  These are all techniques that I use on a daily basis and often form the beginning of most of my work.

$500 for one person
